Effectiveness of structured teaching programme on prevention of anaemia among antenatal women.

Abstract

Anaemia is a global public health problem affecting both developing and developed countries with major consequences for human health as well as social and economic development. This study is conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching program on prevention of anaemia among antenatal women. Pre experimental one group pre test post test design was adopted for fifty antenatal mothers who were selected by convenience sampling technique at MCH centre, Tirupati, to evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on prevention of anaemia by structured questionnaire. Structured interview schedule and tool was used for data collection. The present study
revealed that antenatal women have inadequate knowledge regarding prevention of anaemia and after structured teaching programme knowledge have improved among antenatal mothers.
