Environment is one of the determinants of health of individual, family and community at large. Peoples health is affected by the quality of place they live and work, air they breathe, the water they drink and the food they consume.This study is done to assess the Knowledge and practice regarding environmental sanitation among women. A quantitative approach and non experimental descriptive research design was adopted to conduct the study on 100 women 20 - 40 years of age in Venkatachalem selected by convenience sampling technique. Structured questionnaire was used to assess the knowledge of women regarding environmental sanitation. Observational checklist is used to assess the practice of women regarding environmental sanitation.Shows that with regard to level of knowledge regarding environmental sanitation. Results showed that among women, 60 (60%) had inadequate knowledge and with regard to the level of practice regarding environmental sanitation among women 56(56%) had good practice.The study concluded that the women have inadequate knowledge and good practice regarding environmental sanitation.
