Respiratory infection account for the majority of acute illnesses in children.The causes and course of theseinfections are influenced by the age of the child, season,
living conditions and pre-existing medical problems.
This study aids in the assessing the prevalence of respiratory tract infections among under five children at Manubolu at Nellore.
Quantitative approach and non-experimental descriptive research design was selected for the study conducted at a rural area in Manubolu Village at Nellore.The study sample of 100 under-five children was selected by simple random sampling techniques.
The study states that among 100 under five children have, 29%(29) children had mild respiratory tract infection, 22%(22) had moderate respiratory tract infection & 12% (12) children had severe respiratory tract infection.
