The conventional methods for the laboratory diagnosis of tuberculosis and other mycobacterial diseases are time consuming and beyond the sco/>e of most of the small and medium-sized hospital facilities. Therefore, there has been considerable interest in the development of a serological method for the detection of antibodies against myobactena.
The humoral immune response occuring during mycobacterial infections can be detected with some serological tests (R.I.A, T'.I.ISA. latex agglutination, etc).
In this paper, humoral immunity changes in tuberculosis and serological diagnostic procedures are reviewed.Journal oJ'Turgut Ozal Medical ('enter 1(4):324-333.1994/
