In this study, the effects of meteorological conditions on daily SO2 and particulated matter (PM) levels which belong to 1996-1997 winter session in Malatya were investigated. Analyses of data were performed by using multiple regression technique. SO2 and PM were chosen as dependent variables, while temperature, relative humidity, air pressure, wind speed and rainfall were chosen as independent (explanatory) variables. Out of wind speed all of explanatory variables are significantly associated with SO2 levels. While rainfall and wind speed effects are limited on particulate matter levels, relative humidity, air pressure and temperature variables significantly change with it.
