Three cases of Lyme Disease Characterized with Erythema Chronicum Migrans

Abstract


Lyme disease is a multisystemic disorder caused by Borrellia burgdorferi, transmitted by ticks. It usually begins with an expanding annular skin lesion known as erythema chronicum migrans (ECM). In this article three patients with Lyme disease were presented. These patients had clinically typical finding of ECM. The diagnosis was confirmed with serological test with ELISA. In rural area, Lyme disease should be bear mind in patient presented with erythema chronicum migrans and tick byte.
