Abstract

Ectopic liver tissue is generally located at upper abdomen and mostly on gallbladder. Ectopic liver was detected on gallbladder at a 61 years old female and 47 years old male patient during laparoscopic cholecystectomy and were taken out together with gallbladder. Histopathologic examination was reported as normal liver histopathology. Heterotopic liver is more often incidentally detected during abdominal operations. It is recommended that if there is pathology of gallbladder, ectopic liver tissue on gallbladder must be taken out together with gallbladder.
