Abstract

From Editor’s Desk…

Let me begin by thanking our dear Rector, Dr. Khalid Bin Saad Al Meqrin, and Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Ahmad Alromaih, for the confidence they have placed in me.

COVID-19 has now evolved as a significant pandemic, posing an unprecedented challenge and constant threat to the global human population, resulting in increased morbidity and mortality. The novel severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) coronavirus 2 is the cause of this devastating disease (SARS-CoV-2).

COVID-19 cases recover completely after 3–4 weeks of infection, some patients may experi¬ence protracted or recurrent symptoms weeks or months after COVID-19 recovery. To yet, no word has been coined to describe the long-term effects of COVID-19 in the post-recovery phase.

There is a new term known as, Persistent COVID-19 Symptoms which is also being known a long term Covid. Clinically, “Long COVID” may show with one or more acute phase infection symp¬toms, but it is also possible to observe the emergence of new symptoms. Patients with post-COVID syndrome typically have a negative PCR report, indicating that, while clinical symptoms may linger, the microbiological virus load has diminished and the patient is on the road to clinical recovery.

MJHS is pleased to present the 3rd issue of Vol 9: 2021 on schedule. The editorial team works hard to ensure that all issues are published on time, as we believe that being on time helps to establish MJHS as a dependable and consistent organization. I want to congratulate the international panel of experts and the team of associate editors for their efforts to improve the MJHS office’s publication process.

Authors submitting work to MJHS are encouraged to enrich their scholarly contributions by doing plagiarism checks and having their articles properly proofread before submission, especially if English is not their first language. However, language editing does not ensure publication, and the author is solely responsible for any fees spent.

The editorial team would like to express their gratitude to all authors, reviewers, and readers for their continued support of MJHS.
