Subthreshold Signal Detection and Enhancement in Duffing Oscillator via Vibrational Resonance

Bello Ibrahim USAMA,Hamza Mustapha,Gaddafi Sani Shehu.

Abstract

A numerically study of low frequency signal recognition is enhanced by the high frequency signal in duffing oscillator, via the so called vibrational resonance phenomena. The system described the motion of a particle in cubic periodic potential, influenced by constant damping and external input excitations. From the perspectives of the temporal and frequency analyses, we demonstrated that varying the amplitude of the high frequency signal improves the detection of the low frequency signal in our system. Moreover, we showed how the constant damping coefficient control the detection and enhancement of the signal in the system.
