Decompression Sickness which is caused by Nitrogen bubble formation in body tissues and vascular spaces during a rapid descent in atmospheric pressure, continue to be a risk factor for aviarors and divers.
In this review Decompression Sickness will be discussed in several aspects including etiology, pathogenesis, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and early treatment, but leaving the specific recompression treatment to Hyperbaric Oxygen textbooks.
Since it was first described, much distance has been covered about Decompression Sickness. But still there is much to learn about it.
