To assess the knowledge and attitude regarding female foeticide among adults aged in between 25-45 years at selected urban areas, Tirupati. 3. To compare the knowledge levels of adults aged in between 25-45 years at selected rural and urban areas, Tirupati. 4. To associate the
knowledge levels of adults aged in between 25-45 years of rural areas with their demographic variables. 5.To associate the knowledge levels of adults aged in between25-45 years of urban areas with their demographic variables. NullHypothesis: H01: There is no significant difference in between the knowledge levels of adults in selected rural and urban areas. H02: There is no significant association of knowledge levels of rural adults with their demographic variables. H03: There is no significant association of knowledge levels of urban adults with their demographic variables. Materials and Methods: Comparative research design was adopted to conduct the study.100 adults were selected through non-probability purposive sampling technique. Results: The overall knowledge scores regarding female foeticide. In rural areas among 50 adults 0(0.00%) had inadequate knowledge, 36(72%) had moderate knowledge, 14(28%) had adequate knowledge and their computed mean was 66.16 and computed standard deviation was 6.1428. In urban areas among 50 adults 0(0.00%) had inadequate knowledge, 5(10%) had moderate knowledge, 45(90%) had adequate knowledge and computed mean was 74.88 and standard deviation was 3.9655. The obtained “t” value was 8.434. Hence it is proved that there is significant difference in between rural and urban
knowledge levels regarding female foeticide among adults. Conclusion: The study findings indicated that there is significant difference in between rural and urban knowledge levels regarding female foeticide among adults
