Toothpick Perforation of the cecum presenting as right iliac fossa pain: Report of a case and review of literature

Abstract

We present a case of cecal perforation produced by miss-swallowing of a toothpick. The diagnosis was made at laparatomy for appendectomy. Review of literature showed that toothpick perforation is a rare cause of cecal perforation. (Rawal Med J 2011;36:165-166).
