Analysis of voice handicap among special schoolteachers and mainstream teachers: A comparative study

Abstract

Objective: To determine the severity of voice handicap among teachers and comparison of voice handicap in teachers of special education versus mainstream schools.
Methodology: This cross-sectional comparative study using convenience sampling recruited 340 teachers from special education and mainstream setups in Islamabad and Rawalpindi from July to December 2019. Sample included both genders with at least 2 years’ experience. The Voice Handicap Index (VHI) was used for data collection.
