SYNTHESIS OF NEW INTERCALATED QUINONES AND THEIR CYTOTOXIC EFFECTS ON CANCER CELL LINES

Abstract

Naphthoquinones with benzofuran or benzodioxan ring were obtained from dichloronaphthoquinone and were fully
characterized. The new benzodioxanes were tested on 4 cancer cells and one of them, a derivative from methyl pyrogallate
was found very cytotoxic for cancer cells.
