Development of Prototype Solution of Information System for E-selling Medical Books and Journals of the Association of Cardiologists of BiH

Abstract

Background: Many companies have understood the advantages of electronic sales (e-selling) in relation to the traditional sales, thus completely or partially offer their products through the Internet. The advantage is twofold, both for the seller who offers his product to more people, and for the customer who is not limited only to the products of his micro-environment. Another specific advantage of on-line sales is indirect direct contact between buyers and sellers. Aims: The aim of this paper is to create an optimal information system (IS) for electronic e-selling and promotion of medical books and journals published and provided by the Association of cardiologists BiH (UKBiH). Methods: IT methods, tools for the design and implementation of IS. Results: A prototype model of IS for e-selling books and journals UKBiH that facilitates access to medical literature and promote a healthy lifestyle is recommended. Conclusion: Implementing the recommended model indirect storage of expensive medical literature would be avoided; savings in the selection and procurement of required books and magazines would be achieved, and home delivery of selected literature with electronic payment system would be provided.
