The objective of this research article is to perform the detailed literature study of femur bone and
observe the latest research objective. For this purpose literature review studied from 1980 to 2019. In previous
studies the researcher did modal and structural analysis of femur bone at different boundary conditions. By
identifying research objective using literature survey in this research work modelling of femur bone was done
using solid works taking the drawing dimensions of CT scanned femur bone and this model of femur bone was
also scaled to 90% to 110% to because of anthropometrics. For strength observation structural stress analysis
has been performed and mode shapes at different natural frequencies studied. In this study the fracture has been
identified and for healing the support plate and screws was designed. Further structural and modal analysis
done for varying the support plate material and strength analysis was performed. In order to enhance better
healing and reducing loss in bone mineral density some improved materials has been found for surgical
implants give scope for future study.
