Abstract
Download PDF Post

A simple and efficient method for the synthesis of chalcone derivatives using polyamine catalyst has been described. The antibacterial
activity of chalcones are also evaluated by using gram positive (S. aureus, B. subtillus) and gram negative bacteria (Klebsiella pneumonia, P.
aerugenosa) microorganisms.

Key words: chalcone synthesis; antibacterial activity; flavones; polyamine catalyst
