SELF-ASSEMBLY OF SUPRAMOLECULAR COMPLEX OF Zn(II) AND 2,7-DITHIO-3,6-DIAZAOCTADIEN-3,5-DITHIOAMIDE-1,8 IN AN IMMOBILIZED Zn2[Fe(CN)6]-GELATIN MATRIX

Abstract

A new complex formation process was occurred in the Zn(II)–ethanedithioamide–ethanedial three-components system when a nanoreactor consist of zinc(II) hexacyanoferrate(II)-gelatin immobilized matrix was contacted with an aq. alkaline (pH~12) solutions containing
ethanedithioamide and ethanedial. It has been shown that self-assembly (template synthesis) of supramolecular (555)macrotricyclic Zn(II)
coordination compound with chelating ligand 2,7-dithio-3,6-diazaoctadien-3,5-dithioamide-1,8 occurs under these conditions. Besides,
ethanedithioamide and ethanedial act as ligand synthons in this process.
