Innovation of Nickel Extraction Process in Metallurgy

“Hydrometallurgical process” is a new innovative technological process which has been replaced
by the old one i.e. “Pyro-metallurgical process” which is more essential to treat concentrates of sulphide. But now
in this competitive age of metallurgical industries, the new process has been introduced in the market which is
more essential for the extraction of metals and are termed as “Hydrometallurgical process” that is used instead of
“Pyro-metallurgical process” which does not comprises the use of autoclaves in the treatment of nickel
concentrates. The times have changes and so the methods. . In this era of ever growing field of technologies, the
people start to accept the innovative changes made in the techniques which proves to be beneficial for the growth
of metallurgical industries“Pressure hydrometallurgy” is implemented in various operations. Hence the
significance of this new innovative process for extraction of nickel has been discussed in this paper.
