Download PDF Post

Prospective and retrospective study design refers to thetime period in which the study is to be carried. In thisperspective these are longitudinal studies encompassing a time span either from point of start of study to future (prospective) or to past (retrospective). These two approaches, due to the limitation of their scope of observation and access into various types of data, can answer only to some specific research questions and not the all.
