Recent techniques in implant site preparation and clinical risk of Titanium allergy caused by dental implants

Abstract

Recent studies across the globe has reported various novel techniques for implant site preparation which have advantages over the traditional techniques. Titanium is one of the notable material employed by most of the study group. Titanium has its advantages including its biocompatibility and hence very much used as biologic implant material across surgical specialties. Few studies have reported patients suffering from Titanium allergy after implant procedure. In this article, we reviewed the recent techniques in implant site preparation and clinical risk of titanium allergy caused by dental implants.
