One-pot three component synthesis of (Z)-N-5-(benzylidene/substituted benzylidene)-3-methyl-6-oxo-1,2,5,6-tetrahydro-1,2,4-triazine-2-substituted benzamide derivatives were described by one-pot reaction of (Z)-4-(benzylidene/substituted benzylidene)-2-methyl-oxazol5(4H)-ones with hydrazine hydrate followed by PhCH=NPh in [BMIM][OH] as ionic liquid for 30 min at 80-85 oC. The importance of this method includes shorter reaction time and high yield.
