Drug administration errors and the responsibility of a nurse

Abstract

While a patient is waiting for recovery, the errors which are going to be performed during drug application may cause some harmful results such as the emergence of iatrogenic diseases and disabilities with many negative effects up to death. For the prevention of drug administration errors; nurses need to be trained about it regularly to develop skills and attitudes and they also need to be encouraged in the regard of following publications on this subject and error reporting. We have aimed to address the role and responsibilities of nurses in the prevention of medications errors in this essay.
