The influence and effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on orthopaedic resident training: a nationwide cross-sectional survey in Turkey

Abstract

Objectives: This survey was conducted to determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on orthopaedic residents and to better understand how it affected their professional and personal experiences.
Methods: A 27-item, web-based anonymous survey was delivered to orthopaedic residents in Turkey and was completed by a total of 138. The responses were evaluated in respect of demographic data, and changes in the education program, physical and mental health related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
