As discussed in the article Herpes virus reactivation has an important place among the viral etiologic agents. With the help of the diagnostic studies in children and adults it is proven that Varicella zoster virus reactivation might also cause Bells palsy. As also discussed in the article, in the treatment of Bells palsy, it is important to diagnose the causative disease if possible, and to evaluate the need of corticosteroid as soon as the symptoms start with or without accompanying antiviral therapy (1-8).
