Objectives: To interpret the clinical importance of Dosha Maana Vikalpa with the help of the case of Acute Ischemic Stroke. Methodology: A case of Acute Ischemic Stroke is studied which correlates symptomatically with 10th combination of Thridoshas in the table 1. The symptoms observed in the case are interpreted under the purview of the concept Dosha Maana Vikalpa. Observation: In the present case of Acute Ischemic Stroke, the symptoms like Cheshta hani (loss of motor functions), Vaksanga(slurred speech), Moorcha(unconsciousness) suggest the increase of Kapha, Vatapitta reduced condition of DMV. Reduced functioning of Vata pitta; immediate obstruction to the Samjnavaha (sensory perceptions), Vatavaha Srotas (motor activities) by the aggravated Kapha; causing Acute and severe pathogenesis mentioned as Apidhat Bhrisham is also observed in this case.
