Turkish Apertura and Technological Change: The Case of Large Scale Industrial Capital

In this article the technological change of the large scale industrial capital’s exportation between the years of 1993 and 2010 has been analysed. We aim to measure the technological change in the context of the technological level and technological tendency classifications. We focus on the number of firms and exportation values. The dataset of this study is based on the periodicals of İstanbul Chamber of Industry. In sum, it can be argued that following the period starting in 2001, the medium-level technology and scale intensive production have become more important than before.
