Perceptions and practices toward eye injuries first aid among the general population in Al-Baha Region, Saudi Arabia

Objective: This study aimed to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) for first-aid handling of eye injuries among the general population of Al-Baha, Saudi Arabia.
Methods: This study used a verified, organized questionnaire disseminated electronically by Al-Baha residents. The questionnaire included sociodemographic information, knowledge of eye injury first-aid, and practices in hypothetical injury situations.
Results: In total, 414 participants were included. Among them, only 36.2% showed good first-aid knowledge of eye injuries, and 63.8% had poor knowledge. Women had much better knowledge than men (p
