Deep infiltrating endometriosis represents a major challenge in diagnostics, therapy and monitoring of patients. It is a very complex entity that disrupts the health and quality of life of patients. Diagnostic methods are improving today, while treatment is limited by numerous factors. When drug treatment does not lead to an effect, which happens very often, we are forced to resort to surgical treatment, which has its limitations and limits. The situation is particularly complex in younger patients with deep infiltrating endometriosis, who have not given birth, where the patient's fertility and ovarian reserve must always be preserved.
Key words: Deep pelvic endometriosis, diagnostics, treatment, monitoring.
