A total of 327 stool specimens from children were examined for protozoan cysts by formalin-ether concentration method. Entamoeba histolytica was the most frequently encountered parasite with prevalence of 17.13%. Other parasites encountered were Entamoeba coli 1.53% and Balantidium coli 2.14%.
