The discovery of new antimicrobial agents is a necessity due to the emergence of multidrug bacterial resistance (MDR). The aim of this work was to study the direct and indirect antimicrobial activity of a Beninese sample collected in Parakou area of Cymbopogon giganteus essential oil (EOCG) on multidrug resistant clinical bacteria, its chemical composition and its cytotoxicity.
