Abstract | Download PDF | | Post | Objective: This study aimed to assesses the effectiveness of telemedicine in facilitating emergency care in Saudi Arabia.
Methods: A cross-sectional design was used to study the impact of telemedicine on emergency care in Saudi Arabia. A self-administered online questionnaire was used to collect data, with 773 telemedicine users, recruited using convenience sampling, taking part in the study.
Results: Out of all the participants, 71% (n=379) stated that they had high satisfaction with telemedicine. Elsewhere, 18.4% (n=98) had moderate satisfaction, while only 10.7% (57%) had low satisfaction. The most common telemedicine in Saudi Arabia was Sehhaty, with 77.5% (n=551) of the participants having used it. Notably, about 39.9% (n=213) of the participants experienced some technical challenges while using telemedicine.
