Objective: This study aimed to evaluate parental knowledge and awareness of children’s developmental milestones in the Jazan region of Saudi Arabia.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted with 1300 parents in the Jazan region who had at least one healthy child aged six years or younger and who agreed to participate. Convenience and online chain referral sampling methods were used.
Results: Among the 1300 participants, 44.2% demonstrated poor knowledge, 44.2% had average knowledge, and only 11.6% had good knowledge of developmental milestones. Female, married, and unemployed participants had significantly higher knowledge levels (p
