Objective: To identify knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding diarrhea in non-health science students at the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Indonesia.
Methodology: This cross-sectional survey collected data from 395 respondents using convenience sampling from September to October 2024. Descriptive statistics were used to describe demographic variables, levels of knowledge, attitudes, and practices. Inferential statistics were used to analyze the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and practices.
Results: The study found that 54.7% of respondents had moderate knowledge, 38.7% had adequate knowledge, and 6.6% had inadequate knowledge. Regarding attitude, 64.1% of respondents had a negative attitude, and 35.9% had a positive attitude. Based on practice, 95.7% of respondents had adequate practice, 4.1% had moderate practice, and 0.3% had inadequate practice.
