Cold Chain for Vaccines in Primary Health Care Practices

Vaccination is one of the most effective public health methods, easily implemented, saving millions of lives. Cold chain practices are crucial for accurate and safe vaccination, particularly during vaccine transportation and storage. Community health centers and District Health Directorates, ensure the delivery of vaccines to family physicians, who then take precautions to prevent cold chain disruptions and carry out vaccination activities at family health centers. This review highlights current vaccine programs and key points to consider regarding vaccine cold chain practices. Emphasizing primary health care, adequate knowledge of cold chain management prevents vaccine efficacy loss and contributes to both community health and the national economy.
