KNOWLEDGE REGARDING RISK FACTORS OF CARDIO VASCULAR DISEASES

Abstract

The heart is the simple machine with scared mission. William Harvey deemed the heart as “the sovereign of the body”. Cardiovascular disease is the leading diseases now a days, which causes death among men and women in the developed and developing countries. Aim: To assess the prevalence of risk factors for cardiovascular disease among the house wives. Methods: A qualitative research approach and descriptive design were selected 30 housewives by using non- probability convenience sampling technique. Result: The result shows that 5 (17%) have excellent, 18 (60%) have good and 7 (23%) have poor knowledge regarding risk factors of cardio vascular diseases among house wives.
