Induction of novel mutants of Streptomyces lincolnensis with high Lincomycin production

Our research has revealed that an enhancement in lincomycin production by S. lincolnensis mutants after mutagenesis was obtained. Furthermore, the application of RAPD-PCR technique on some selected superior mutants in comparison with the wild type using three 15-mer random primers lead to detect of some differences in RAPD patterns which used as evidence of genetic variations of S. lincolnensis mutants.
