Objective: To investigate the frequency of impacted mandibular canines in an orthodontic Pakistani population.
Methodology: This retrospective observational study was conducted at Department of Orthodontics of our institute that included orthodontic records of two hundred untreated subjects. Chi-square analysis was carried out for evaluation of the effect of gender and data was analyzed in SPSS v. 19.
Results: The frequency of impacted mandibular canines was 2.5% of which, two were males and three were females. All impacted canines were unilateral.
Conclusion: Frequency of impacted mandibular canines in this local Pakistani population was found to be 2.5%.
