Esophageal perforation in a preterm newborn

Abstract

Esophageal perforation is a rare, but potentially life threatening injury, it is usually iatrogenic and more common in premature infants. Management is usually conservative. Herein, we describe a case of esophageal perforation in a preterm infant that failed to respond to conservative management.
