FATAL OBSTRUCTIVE ASPHYXIATION DUE TO RUMEN CONTENT IN A COW: A CASE REPORT.

Abstract

Responses to pulmonary aspirations in animals vary due to anatomical and physiological differences as well as nature of substances aspirated. While instant asphyxiation due to complete obstruction of air into the lung may lead to instant death with no observable lesions, lesions vary depending on the time lag before death. This case presents pulmonary responses to asphyxiation before death.
