Although pathophysiology of psychiatric side effects are still controversial, there are different risk factors identified in this regard. Priority in the treatment of corticosteroid induced mania is to cut off steroids. As only mood stabilizer can be used, neuroleptic/mood stabilizer combinations also can be used in the treatment. In our case who had peripheral facial paralysis, corticosteroid induced mania with psychotic symptoms is aimed to discuss in terms of risk factors, response to olanzapine and treatment course.
