This study was conducted to assess the knowledge and practices of meat traders in terms of hygiene and risk of zoonotic infections associated with meat processing in two major urban areas (Ouagadougou and Bobo Dioulasso) of Burkina Faso. A structured questionnaire was developed and individual face-to-face interviews were conducted with 370 meat traders. The Chi-square and Fisher’s exact tests were performed to assess association between investigated variables.
