Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an abundant inflammatory disease affecting about 1% of the adult population worldwide, and it is the most common form of inflammatory arthritis. New treatment techniques have substantially varied the RA course. Several patients can achieve remission if the disease is recognized early and is treated promptly and continuously; however, some individuals do not respond adequately to the treatment. Rapid diagnosis and a treat-to-target approach with tight monitoring and control can increase the likelihood of remission in patients with RA. In this paper, we reviewed the recent treatment strategies for RA.

Key words: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), treatment strategies, biosimilars, JAK inhibitors
