Pseudomeningocoele is an acquired extradural collection of cerebrospinal fluid .It is an uncommon
complication which follows laminectomy for spinal lesions. We report a case of 42 year gentleman
who developed giant lumbar pseudomeningocoele following laminectomy which was performed to
remove the intra-dural tumor. Follow up MRI after surgery showed the presence of a large CSF
collection with flow voids and possible site of leak. The patient was initially managed conservatively
but did not respond and underwent re-exploration and identification of the leak leak site and
repaired with a watertight duroplasty. The patient responded to the surgery and doing well at
follow up.
