Albizia lebbeck, or the Siris tree from the Fabaceae family, is traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine for its medicinal value. This review highlights its potential as a natural cosmetic ingredient. Rich in bioactive phytochemicals (tannins, flavonoids, saponins, phenols, alkaloids) and essential minerals (magnesium, iron, calcium, zinc, potassium), the extract exhibits significant anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial activities. These properties support collagen synthesis, oxidative stress protection, and skin barrier repair. Its skin-soothing and brightening effects make it a valuable active ingredient for dermatological formulations. Albizia lebbeck extract is a promising natural cosmeceutical inspired by Ayurveda.
