A 6hr old male cow calf was presented to the Dept. of surgery and radiology, College of Veterinary Science, Tirupathi with a history of protruding of visceral organs through the umbilical area and not passing dung since birth. Based on history and clinical signs it was diagnosed as congenital atresia ani with intestinal evisceration. The abdominal defect and atresia ani was managed by surgically, but the rectal cul-de-sac could not be located. All our efforts became futile to treat the case successfully.
