A study to assess the knowledge on first aid management among play school teachers at selected playschools at Nellore District

Abstract

First aid management is the temporary and immediate treatment given to a person who is injured or suddenly ill, using facilities or materials available at that time before regular medical help is impacted. This study to assess the knowledge on first aid management among play school
teachers at selected playschools.Quantitative Approach and non experimental descriptive design are used to conduct the study on 30 play school teachers selected by convenient sampling technique.Structured questionnaire is used to collect the data. Results showed that among 30 teachers 16.7% (5) had good knowledge, 60% (18) had good moderate knowledge and 23.3% (7) had inadequate knowledge and had
moderate knowledge in first aid management.The study indicates that the play school teachers must be educated and trained in first aid management of common emergencies in children.
