Effectiveness of video assisted teaching programme on knowledge regarding leptospirosis among farmers.

Abstract

Leptospirosis is severe and contagious bacterial infection. It is caused by exposure to several types of the Leptospira bacteria, which can be found in fresh water that has been contaminated by animal urine. This study to evaluate the effectiveness of Video Assisted Teaching Programme on knowledge regarding Leptospirosis among farmers in selected rural areas. Pre-experimental method and one group pre-test and post-test design are selected to conduct the study on 60 farmers selected by purposive sampling techniques. Data collection is done with a structured interview schedule. The findings of the study revealed that the farmers knowledge was improved. Video assisted teaching programme greatly benefited to the farmers to improve the knowledge on leptospirosis.
