MATERNAL - FETAL - MEDICINE (MFM)

Abstract

The highly significant part of the prenatal assessment is screening for high risk factors. Risk factors are any findings that have been shown to have a negative effect on pregnancy outcome, either for the woman or her unborn child. Maternal - Fetal Medicine (MFM) is one of the most rapidly evolving fields in medicine especially in what concerns the fetus.
