Rare afflictions of the Uterine Cervix - A case series

INTRODUCTION:
The uterine cervix can be affected by conditions that are unusual. Diagnosis and management becomes challenging when the disease process and natural history are less well understood.
CASE SERIES:
We present three rare conditions affecting the cervix that caused significant morbidity in patients.
RESULTS:
One patient had huge necrosed cervical fibroid and underwent myomectomy followed by hysterectomy. The second patient had a coexistent large Nabothian cyst with a large Gartner’s cyst. The third patient had metastatic cervical deposits of Phylloides tumor.
CONCLUSION:
Detailed clinical examination, thorough imaging and management by experts can optimize outcomes.
